Responsibilities This manager position is in COAF Business Analytics and Modeling Solutions. Communication and Analytical skills are fundamental requirements for success. Experience Managing a professional level team is also a must. Use of Business Intelligence or Query tools is also highly important, but COAF will train individuals on the specific tools needed for our environment (includes SAS, SQL, Crystal Reports, Proclarlty, Sagent, Teradata, and Oracle). Individuals will be assigned a customer to support and responsible for providing any or all of the following support functions: Detailed analyses of Capital One customers and prospects, using a wide range of data sources and analytic tools. Developing an understanding of key customer segments. Support of collection strategy initiatives through analytic projects. Support of marketing and solicitation initiatives through analytic projects. Mining consumer/dealer data and provide strategic insights to the organization. Identifying opportunities to use customer data to develop customer strategies and improve business performance. Providing technical and analytical advice to business project managers setting up marketing tests. Recognizing and managing technical dependencies and/or limitations that impact analytic work Job. Successful execution of these tasks includes the following activities: Delivering clear written and oral communication with analyst team, IT, and internal customer teams. Actively question and challenge customers to understand their requirements and reach optimal requirements. Manage the work output and professional development of other data analysts. Documenting communication of projects and time allocations. Successfully implementing process improvements impacting own work and work of others. Negotiate customer priorities and workload for many internal customers and team members. Developing action plans to achieve strategic goals set by your manager. Interacting with cross-functional teams to deliver projects within committed time frames. Presentation of status reports to all other departments in appropriate group forums. Qualifications REQUIRED: • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Analytical discipline or equivalent work experience • Strong communication skills. • Strong analytic skills. • Detail oriented and self motivated. • Some programming experience in any language (see preferred). • Strong multitasking skills.
